Stop javascript?

There is a site where I need to disable a specific java script (which runs a function), is it possible to do this, and how?
PS There are extensions that disable java scripts on the page, but they disable ALL scripts on the page, but I need a specific one.

Ad blockers AdBlock and uBlock allow you to write your own filters that filter objectionable scripts.

You put some FireBug, open the site, look at the scripts, put a breakpoint on this function, and refresh the page.
Voila! The script stopped exactly at the right place.
