I'm going to launch a small project, a site of lost finds of some things, there will be something like a bulletin board only for lost things. So far I'm doing everything alone, but in the future I would like to assemble a small team, there are no problems in implementing some initial things.
Interested in the following question: Which way to choose for development?
1st way - to launch only in your region, if the idea goes and people like it, then expand the site to the scale of the country.
2 way - immediately launch the whole country.

What does each of these paths mean to you?
write it down, look at the differences, most likely it will be targeted advertising: 1. either to your region 2. or to the whole of Russia.
Then the question is only in the resources for advertising.
If there are few resources, then the first option is better. For if, with the same resources, you go for the second option, then you will collect a couple of people from each region, but there is no sense in this, since your project implies mass character in everything: in user interaction, in their activity, etc. for each separate region, that is, a user who has lost a thing in Moscow time is unlikely to be interested in the number of users in another region, because of this he will find the thing faster and leave this site forgetting about it.
