I don't see a problem at all.
What's the problem ?
In principle, you don't need to configure anything.
This is the basic functionality of ssh
, moreover, there are options even for offhand things 3
1. executing commands on another server. https://www.shellhacks.com/en/ssh-execute-remote-c...
2. Tunneling
3. shfs rus-linux.net/MyLDP/file-sys/sshfs.html
5. in general Clumsy method, moreover, quite to itself.
I have tritely saved such bookmarks in the mint, moreover, in the mute itself, moreover, in the regular one, and that’s it, I don’t even blow my mustache.

Configure SSH.
Connect.
profit.
SCP
I don't know what Mac has, but under Windows I use FAR for this in Linux MC (I think it is also under Mac).
