SSD over SATA or PCI-E?

Which is better for a desktop PC? What are the pros and cons of both options?

How much I read on this topic - PCI-E makes sense if you really need high performance disk operations.
Keep in mind that:
- high speed is achieved by forming stripe arrays, which reduces the reliability of data storage.
- I heard that there were problems with booting the OS from such disks.
- There were problems with the drivers.
- in itself a more exotic and not very common solution.
- the cost is higher than that of SATA drives.
I was interested in this question about the applicability of such disks in server tasks, so after reading the experience of people, I gave up on them.
IMHO, it makes sense to use them when you need maximum disk performance for critical tasks with non-critical loss of information - ie. disks for processing and temporary files.

As they say, if you ask about it, then you don't need it. Do you work with huge RAW files, edit videos, mix a 128-track sample? Then you know exactly where the bottleneck is in the system and how to overcome it. But since you ask, it means that it is not very necessary, but you can afford it. So take it and work, play. But if the pocket allows - why not.

Drives have different speeds. Compare specific models, the speed almost does not depend on the interface.

For stationary - buy a good sata-disk. PCI-E are expensive and there are still problems with them.

With the right approach, PCI-E drives are much faster than SATA. For example, on Macs, these drives just give heat.
