SSD instead of DVD-ROM on Samsung NP355V5C S0E?

Good afternoon!
For a long time I stopped fumbling in computer hardware, and in laptop guts I don’t even know at all.
I would like to purchase a 128GB disk for the SSD system, and since. the main HDD is already installed, I found out that there are options for installing a drive instead of a DVD'yushnik.
As I read that some laptops either do not have ports, or something else, in other words, there are jambs.
Question:
Firstly, how to choose the right SSD for your model (I tried to find instructions for the laptop to at least see what type of connector is used - I didn’t find it)
Secondly, will it really work on a computer, and how is it insure? And then to buy, so that later it does not fit - there is no reason at all.
What pitfalls can be in general and, perhaps, someone will be able to advise regarding this particular laptop model?

@Eridani

what type of connector is used - not found
- you are not looking at the connector, but at the form factor. If you install instead of DVD, you need a 2.5" SSD. Unscrew your DVD, measure its thickness (sometimes 7, 9.5, 12.7 and 14mm). Go to Aliexpress, order the right size Optibay:
https://ru.aliexpress.com/ wholesale?ltype=wholesal...
When it arrives , buy any 2.5" ssd you like and put it in optibay, and with it - in place of the drive.

I took such a thing on the same laptop , the one on 12.7". It behaves, I must say, strangely. There is a three-position switch, which is not documented in any way. hangs on a request for a non-existent password to hdd0. If you put hdd there, at least in one of the switch positions everything loads and works, but the disk sometimes falls off, possibly bad contacts, I want to try this thing
again, perhaps it will be more reliable. UPD: New
information.Firstly, the device that I bought first is Espada SS90.Secondly , Agestaryou don’t need to take it, there is a poor fastening of the decorative panel, it dangles without glue, Espada has no such problems. Thirdly, I found the meaning of the switch on the Espada SS90, for Samsung laptops you need to put it in the position closest to the SATA connector. And, fourthly, there are sleds and there are adapters, the general rule, as far as I managed to understand, is this: if just a sled is buggy, you need to take an adapter with a switch and set the switch for your laptop manufacturer. Here are some more details about this switch.
In general, I'm trying now Espada SS90 with the switch in the "Others" position (closest to the sata connector) with hdd in the adapter and ssd in place of hdd. While it works.
Yes, and when rearranging the hdd into the adapter, it makes sense to rearrange it along with the shielding pad, of course.
The SSD used is INTEL SSDSC2CW120A3 .
Keywords for which additional information is well googled are "optibay", "hdd caddy".
