SSD+Caddy. What's wrong?

I welcome everyone! My laptop does not see the HDD. HELP
I bought myself a ssd for 120GB + caddy in order to put a regular screw 1 (Tb) instead of a dvd drive. SSD installed instead of the main vita. I turn on the laptop to install windows, I get to the selection of the partition for installation, and then everything hangs, I waited more than an hour, nothing. HDD was constantly loading something there. Okay, I turned off the HDD while installing Windows on the SSD, then everything went smoothly. Then I insert the hard drive with the caddy back into the dvd slot, the laptop boots up, but does not see the hard drive. Although when I first turned it on, it was in disk management, but not initialized. I pressed initialization, but it gave me some kind of error that the file was not found and after that I didn’t see it there anymore. What could be the problem? In the BIOS, all 2 hard drives are normally detected. When I put in place SSD - HDD, it works.
Laptop: Lenovo g510
OS: Windows 7 x64
Any help would be appreciated!

sbh Vitaly Nikolay45 Thanks for the answers! Solved the problem. I tried to change places, but if you put ssd instead of the drive, then the speed will be small, there would be no point in ssd. BIOS was the latest version. What happened: At night before going to bed, I sent the laptop to sleep, but did not turn it off. In the morning I turn on the MAGIC - he found them, all the data is there and everything works fine. I think it scanned all files in the background, because the hdd led was loading something all the time. And what are your assumptions?
UPDATE: All is not well. Disks may or may not be detected after a reboot. It's not clear what's wrong ...

Don't have a second computer at hand?
If there is, format the drive on another PC and try connecting it to a laptop.

Have you tried swapping the screws and booting from a CD-ROM (SSD)? As an option, try resetting the BIOS first, and if it doesn't help, upgrade to a newer version.

Unfortunately, this happens. Check the BIOS version, 3.09 is available on the site Check the SSD firmware update. In the BIOS, explicitly set boot from SSD (if 7). If 8, when you turn it on, enter the multiboot and boot from the hard drive. Remove the bootloader on the HDD to avoid conflicts.
