SSD and SATA RAID

The question has arisen - is it possible to combine hard drives into a mirror RAID array: SSD and SATA? If possible, won't a SATA hard drive slow down work with an SSD?

now there are good SSDs on a PCI-E board (with a built-in raid controller), they show slightly better results than SSDs with SATA

The mirror should start to slow down. Search Google for FlashCache, maybe it will come in handy for you.

Hmm ... in my opinion, even somewhere on Habré there was an article on the topic of combining SATA + SSD into RAID 1, in which everything was written on both screws, but reading was only with SSD. All this was raised on a software raid under Linux (apparently the hardware does not allow this). Unfortunately, I can't find the article yet.

Adaptec does hybrid raids, but it's read-only :(
It also has MaxIQcache

But isn't SATA a data transfer protocol, and in this case, the HDD is called SATA O_o. This refers to the same HDD and SSD. Why is everyone calling HDD SATA? Or am I misunderstanding?
