Spring version selection?
Hello!
The other day I was given a small task to write a web application in java. The task indicates what needs to be done on spring version >= 2.5.
Almost no experience in writing web applications. Unless I felt struts in the old days. Can you tell me from which spring you should start studying and on which of them to complete the task?
PS I was looking for literature on the 3rd spring in the internet. There is almost none there. Even on the official site the tutorial is still on version 2.5 ( static.springsource.org/docs/Spring-MVC-step-by-step ). Can you recommend something sensible?

But what about static.springsource.org/spring/docs/3.0.x/spring-framework-reference/html/
If you say that there is practically no experience, maybe it's better to read about EJB 3.1 and JPA 2.0 first?
Not true, there is a lot of information. But it is not in the form of a "step-by-step instruction" but a thesis extract for those who already know. If you want to write an application quickly, then you should pay attention to apache click (I haven't used it myself, but I've heard a lot of good reviews). If you want to write "adult" applications, then definitely Spring. First you need to deal with spring-core, and only then spring-mvc. If you have experience, you can move in quickly enough.
