SPF=pass, but there is no TXT record for the domain in DNS. How can this be?

Everything works great.
Emails do NOT end up in SPAM, in spf=pass headers.
But in the DNS records for the domain, there is no standard SPF record with permissions.
How can this be?

There are several options:
1. Perhaps there is no TXT record, but there is an obsolete record of the SPF type (RFC 7208 abolished the use of SPF records, they were in RFC 4408).
2. Some recipients in the absence of SPF use the so-called. best guess record , as if the sender had posted "v=spf1 a/24 mx/24 ptr ?all". The use of best guess is not included in the SPF standard and is not currently recommended.
