Sound card issues in Fedora and GNU/Linux in general. How to live without Windows to the layman?

OS: Fedora 28 Workstation
Internal sound card: Creative Sound Blaster Audigy Rx
The problem is that at the office. The site only has Windows. Fedora saw this card, saw two analog microphone inputs, maybe even installed something out of the box. But the microphone itself does not work. I have no idea which direction to go in order to solve this problem.
PS Many advise to install ALSA. But for some it didn't solve the problem. In addition, the Ubuntu forum.

Well, install it. alsacontrol may well solve the problem.
