Does jumbo frame work on linux?

Hello, I purchased a network card with an rtl8169sc chip, that is, a driver for it according to the r8169 logic. I tried to increase the frame using ethtool, a message was displayed about the impossibility of
supporting such functionality. I heard that many people complain about this driver, they say it's damp. I wish this wasn't true. Who the thread is Daedalus, increased the frame to 8192 bytes

What for? The packet size is set on the interface in MTU

The main question is why do you need jumbo, do you have other devices on the network supporting them and is it enabled on them?
