Sorting issue in Joomla 2.5?

There was a sorting issue in Joomla 2.5. There is a list of 7 contacts. There is a page on which these contacts were displayed using "List of Contacts in a Category". In the menu element, in the "List Layouts" settings, I set "Sort by: ordering", but the changes are not displayed in the frontend, the sorting remains the same. I also noticed that none of the settings in "List Layouts" is displayed in the frontend, what could it be? Does anyone know how to fix this Joomla problem?
