Some questions about Gnome 3 (and not only)?

I put arch on my virtual machine. Yes, somehow I managed to do it. Then xorg, lightdm, gnome, vbox-guest-addons... In short, xs work, everything works... Whatever one may say, but one way or another I will soon switch from ubunta to arch.
So far I'm a Unity user. I really like the global menu and the lack of a title bar for expanded-to-full-screen programs. Found this for a gnome . Collect I think it will work. Although it is strange to use all menu items from a single button. Are there other options for glob. gnome menu?
There are a bunch of extensions on extensions.gnome.org, you can manage them, as I understand it, from gnome-tweak-tool. In general, a useful tool. It can also change themes and stuff ... But now most of the extensions are not available. I have a newer version (the last one), but the authors did not finish it for it. How quickly will these plugins be upgraded so that they work on 3.16?
What suitable config would you recommend for LightDM? And now I have such a miracle . And what to put / configure for the possibility of locking the screen?

I won’t say anything about the third gnome, because I don’t use it.
But about LightDM, I advise you to read junipers . It is quite accessible to describe how to finish.
