[SOLVED] Skype microphone not working on Ubuntu 10.04 (Internal mic does not work)?

If, like me, the microphone does not work in Skype, but it works in other applications, then do the following
1. Install pavucontrol
sudo aptitude install pavucontrol
2. Open the
gksudo pavucontrol
settings and set right to 0. 3. In skype settings, uncheck "allow skype to adjust mixer levels" After these simple actions, the microphone in Skype started working.
