Software for file versioning?

Tell me, are there any programs with such a use case?
- Create a file, work with it (the format and type is not important, it can be binary or text).
- We call in the file manager (Explorer, for example) the context menu of the file.
- Select the item "Remember version" ("Make a copy" or something similar).
- A form for entering a comment on the version opens, enter a comment and click the "Save" button (or similar).
After that, a copy of this file is saved on the PC.
In the future, by calling the context menu, it would be possible to call the "View all versions of a file" form. Select a version and restore it. Versions would be painted by dates and comments.
So far, only the use of git, mercurial, etc. comes to mind. But this is not convenient if you need to save versions only for individual files. You can write your own simple application for this, of course, but maybe there is already something similar?

Git is inconvenient for specific files? Yes. Install a plugin for the IDE and it will immediately become convenient.
