Software for an online store?

I would like to understand what software may be needed for the normal functioning of the store on the Internet. I mean not cms for the store, but application programs for warehouse management, employee interaction, etc. Most likely there are many things that I don’t even know about, but I would have to guess:)
Do I need to use 1C programs (what?) or are there better alternatives?
I would like the programs to work on a poppy and on Linux.

Good afternoon. I'll try to share my own experience.
If you have a period of formation, and you will buy goods not in China in containers, then you do not need a warehouse. Accounting for goods is also not particularly necessary. Because most likely you will resell goods purchased from Russian representative offices of companies (I am only familiar with the subject of luxury class household appliances).
Their policy is that they do not retail themselves, but supply their dealer network. Therefore, you avoid the cost of renting a warehouse and purchasing large quantities of goods. Upon receipt of an order, you contact the supplier, check availability, contact the buyer if he confirms the order, go to the warehouse of the representative office, buy for cash, or transfer money by bank transfer, and pick up the goods. With this kind of business, an ordinary xls document is suitable as an accounting for goods, and its duplication on paper. Non-cash invoices are issued according to a template (in the same xls), checks for cash sales are made on a cash register, to which we also print an invoice according to the template. But this way of doing business is not correct, somewhat inconvenient, but with small volumes it is quite acceptable.
If you want to do everything “as expected”, then 1C will be very useful to you. If you have a warehouse, then you need the 1C Trade Management edition. I won’t talk about the device of the program, I’m sure you yourself have seen its capabilities.
About cross-platform. The solution is to install 1C on the server and remotely access it from any machine. Thus, you can use it even from a poppy, even from Linux. Plus, the program will be available from any computer. At least we did not find alternatives to 1C.
What kind of employee interaction are we talking about? In principle, if they all sit in the same office, then there are no problems. They asked what is needed verbally. With a courier, communication by mobile phone.
In this case, the CMS of the store should be integrated with 1C so that the site keeps track of the number of goods. If you get confused, then you can do the integration of orders too.
Of course, I stated a little chaotically, but for a detailed answer there is not enough introductory. I hope that somehow helped.

I recommend - 1C: Trade Management , 11th edition. She seems to have an orientation of work on the web. Here is an online demo.
Software for rent offers a lot of people, here are the first ones I googled.

I can advise you to pay attention to the free BusinessPack software . And also for a free "analogue" 1C - Ananas .

As an option, set up another online store locally and maintain a warehouse in it and print reporting documents. And yes, I haven’t seen better 1C yet.

Personally, I use the WooCommerce + CloudShop bundle , it makes life a lot easier.
WooCommerce is a very popular WordPress plugin, I have no problems with it. And in CloudShop there are cash desks, a free plan and all sorts of gadgets. There are no restrictions on the number of products and customers.
With the promo code PALEX1 600 wooden ones to the account even on a free plan.
I do not recommend 1C at all, you will work for 1C and not for you
