SNMP not working on HP Proliant?
Hello, I installed ubuntu 14.04 on hp proliant dl380p gen8, then installed the snmp and snmpd packages. Those. the system is pristine. The config is trivial /etc/snmp/snmpd.conf: rocommunity public 127.0.0.1
As a result, when I try to snmpwalk -v2c -c public 127.0.0.1, I get No Response from 127.0.0.1 in response. The service is running, in the logs there are only entries about the start. When snmp is running, the console slows down wildly, although only 1% of the processor time is taken away, the process is killed only through kill -9. On any other machine with the same config everything works fine. What can be done? Thanks

If my memory serves me, I need to install HP SNMP agents (apt-get install hpacucli) . At least before. At the moment, I will not give an answer more precisely, since there is no HP server at hand.
Perhaps the following links will point you in the right direction.

If anything, ask. I'll try to remember something else.
