sms2email program for GSM(3G) modem

Advise a program on a computer for a GSM modem that would send all received SMS to e-mail.
It is desirable under OS X, but it is also possible under Windows (I will run it on a virtual machine).
I know about android, but I don’t want to leave one of the phones at home because of this. They also know about roaming, and that incoming SMS is free - but here it is such a thing that it is difficult to open roaming for one specific number, and SMS received to this number may be very necessary on a trip.
There are a couple of 3G modems available, and I would like to adapt one of them for this business.

Well, preferably free, or trial.

In short ... while I was in search, I accidentally ran into such a function on the router from mikrotik - I implemented everything on it. If anyone is interested, please let me know.

At one time, I implemented it using gnokii (it accepts SMS and writes to the database) and a simple script that checks for new messages in the database using cron and sends email according to the mailing list.

The company I work for uses ActiveSMS - it's not free, but there is a 30-day trial. I once searched for a free one for a long time, but did not find it.

In my opinion, it’s easier to write a small, simple application that would check the GSM modem for new SMS at a given frequency (the AT + CNMI command, if memory serves) and, depending on the result, would send a letter.

I did this on Asterisk. In addition to mail, I also send SMS to the phone that I have with me through an SMS gateway.
