SmartTV == TV+TVBox?

Hello.
The question arose of buying a TV, and it is impossible to deny the great benefits of smart TVs than an ordinary on-air screen.
Another question: implementation - this is what I want to ask the community.
Buying just a TV and a smart set-top box means an incomprehensible confusion with wires and remotes, because the set-top box is usually limited only by the ability to connect hdmi, and a device with analog tulips (a DVD player, for example) - only to the TV. If you want to watch a movie, look for the TV remote, poke the buttons, you need a browser: look for another remote, poke the buttons again. In this regard, smart TV is convenient. On the other hand, the experience of communicating with WebOS suggests that even a screenshot cannot be taken, and on Android, TV is either expensive (the budget has already been determined in the region of 35 thousand for 42 inches), or it works through you know what.
In general, what do you say?

Tried this and that. As a result, he abandoned both solutions. Over time, there was an ordinary TV to which I connect a laptop via hdmi. Surprisingly for me it turned out to be the most convenient way.
I consider cheap smartTVs just a toy, they are of little use.
Therefore, with this option, I would choose a prefix with the current android and hardware. There are only 2 remote controls. From TV and from the set-top box, on which the touch. panel, keyboard, buttons.

I bought myself a few years ago LG 47LA660V. Connected to a local network, from the possibilities of smart I use only watching movies via dlna. It’s very convenient, I downloaded it from a computer via a torrent to a server (OpenMediaVault), the film immediately appears on the TV. I bought a new model for my 88a9eafe83e64b349bc733480e8ef0a0.PNG
parents (already with webos) .. I liked it less: I have to press 2 buttons to get to the movies, they already need actions on their TV do seven.
I very rarely watch ip-tv (on Monday nights, when regular TV does not plow) ... it looks like every half an hour the picture disappears, I have to restart ...
So my main functionality is TV on digital air + watching movies / TV shows, very occasional music and photo viewing
Update: at one time I tried to connect a computer with an XBMC media server via hdmi, so you can configure it to be controlled by the TV remote control.
