How to install a media player to a TV on the wall?

I'm going to buy an android media player, the TV is hanging on a bracket on the wall.
At first I thought about a dongle whistle, but according to reviews - insufficient performance and overheating, so now I choose the standard version.
But then I don’t know where to fix it better - I just don’t want to hang it on the wall, and I plan to stick it on double-sided tape to the back of the TV, but I don’t know if its remote control will work then, because there will be no direct visibility for the infrared port.
Can anyone share some advice?
