Smartphone with andoid and qwerty keyboard: change layout?
I'm looking at handsets with a hardware keyboard, I want to use them as a mobile ssh terminal. On all seen models, the keyboard layout is very neutered, without many symbols needed in the console (pipe, flow redirection, underlining, tabulation, etc.).
Is it possible to edit the layout with regular tools / crutches and replace unnecessary characters with the necessary ones? Or do you have to patch the firmware for this?
Or maybe there are handsets that have a quickly accessible menu with the right symbols?
