Slicing audio files in Linux?

Hello.
There is a need to cut an audio file (wav) - to remove a piece of a certain temporary length at the beginning of the file and at the end in Linux from the console.
I want to set up a script for this - so that everything is done by itself, but I don’t know about softkeys that can cut in the console =(

mid3v2 for tags, if you need to set them later (it seems to be part of mutagen)
