Skype alternative
Our institute has been using Skype for point-to-point video conferencing for about two years, but lately Skype has started to have problems with sound - if the lecture goes on for more than an hour, the sound periodically starts to stutter or simply disappears. I have to break the connection every 30-40 minutes and call back, which is very unnerving.
Please tell me what alternatives to Skype are there that can show the presenter screen and still provide good sound quality. It is desirable that the alternative is free.
BigBlueButton doesn't have noise cancellation, which makes it nearly impossible to use. Of course, video conferencing based on H.323 is a great solution, but no one has terminals on the other side and the qualifications of engineers on the other side of the “wire” do not allow even a software terminal like Polycom PVX to be configured

I also remembered OpenMeetings . On Habré, it seems they wrote about him; did not use it myself.
Maybe try older versions of Skype that you used to use? I don't think it's a matter of Skype servers or something else, I often use video communication for more than an hour, there are no problems. Try looking for the problem yourself.
Webex (quite possibly even a free plan) or GoToMeeting (there is a 30-day trial) will do for you.
For conferences up to 10 people, you can also try MeetingBurner .
