Sketch vs Photoshop - which one has a future?

Hello everyone, friends!
Based on posts on various forums and job descriptions in web design, it seems that Sketch is in a very, very strong competition with PS.
What is your opinion - is it possible that Sketch will soon completely replace PS?
Will there be only specialists working on Sketch? Will the rest die? Or is it not so sad?
Thank you.

Sketch has long surpassed Photoshop in website and app design.
Any product team now works only in Sketch. Yandex, Mail, Google, Aviasales - anyone.
Photoshop now fulfills the role for which it was originally intended - it is a powerful tool for retouching photos, creating key visuals and other things like that.
The only couple of places where Photoshop for websites has remained are all sorts of small studios that simply cannot afford to buy a poppy for a designer (or do not want to) and freelance.ru, where the level of designers also suggests that they will not be buying a poppy for themselves soon .
But you need to remember one simple thing - if you are a bad designer in Photoshop, then in Sketch you will be exactly the same bad designer. It has nothing to do with the tool. The speed depends on the tool. And Sketch is way ahead of Photoshop in this. What used to take half a day in Photoshop is now done in an hour in Sketch. This is a very big thrill.

The fact is that you are considering two completely different tools.
Photoshop was originally created for professional photo and graphics editing - and Sketch will not displace it.
Sketch was originally created for creating UI applications/websites - and Photoshop will not displace it.
I believe these are different players on different battlefields.
It makes more sense, for example, to compare Sketch/Figma, Photoshop/Affinity.

Photoshop is forever.
And vacancies are not an indicator at all.
My salary 15 years ago (the last time I was looking for a job and I was generally interested in vacancies, then I went on free bread) was in fact 3 times higher than what was published at that time in a vacancy according to my qualifications.
Then he began to look for employees for himself - he found out the same thing: the misunderstanding that comes with vacancies does not even fit in with the qualifications indicated in the "requirements" section of the vacancy description.
That is, vacancies are just an expression of the dreams of those who publish ads.
Well, plus - these are not such complex tools , so that knowing one does not allow you to quickly delve into another.
I'm out with the experience of Photoshop, with an understanding of the concept of layers - even in a wretched Gimp in a few minutes I figured it out if necessary and completed the project with layers ....

Has anyone worked in a pair of Sketch - Principle? There is a question of the Version of Sketch and Principle. Pair work. How costly is it?
And another question, Principle can't turn animation into code, can it?

Didn't find what you were looking for?
