Simple questions about radio electronics and electrics?
Hello, I have simple questions about the "Latvia" radiogram.
1) I switched the radiogram to fm frequencies in the radio shop and the check took place through the radio point. There is no radio point at home, but from a regular antenna it catches a small range and is bad. I went to the store (to buy an antenna), they told me not to bathe, they gave me a wire and told me to ask on the forum how to make an antenna out of it.
* How to make an antenna out of wire? (preferably inside the radiola case)
2) I would like to add a power source (battery). There is an unnecessary UPS (Computer designed for 8 minutes of work, I don’t know how much for a radio) ippon back office 600. Is it possible to put it like in P.K., so that the radiola runs on batteries.
* Can the UPS be used for radiograms? (if not, how to replace it so that the concept does not change)
* How to increase the operating time of the UPS? (just replace the battery with a machine one)
3) There are ranges of KV1, KV2, DV, MA, SV, VHF.
*They are in the 21st century. Useless? (if so, how can they be redesigned to be useful)
*Can you pick up a radio on them? (Do they need another antenna)
4) Explain how to use the rear ports.

PS I am a student, but explanations are needed as for a schoolboy. Sorry.

Ohh ...
1) Sounds like nonsense to me. The radio point does not generate an FM signal (the term is strange, but it's easier). And for fm, a simple metal bar is really enough - unless of course you are in a city where there is a relay
2) You need to look at the characteristics of the radio and the characteristics of the UPS. Che there in terms of voltage and power. But if the radiolla turns on at 220, then it can also be plugged into the output of a computer UPS. About batteries - I would not climb with your knowledge.
3) For the most part - yes, they are useless. LW requires giant antennas, just like SW. KV1-KV2 - maybe there is something amateur. The Soviet VHF is slightly shifted from traditional FM - so it is also almost useless.
4) What do you not understand about them?
