Preferences (a text file with JSON data) contains extension parameters in the extensions section.
A folder is thrown into the Extensions folder (the name is the extension identifier) with all the necessary files.
This is what I found by experience. It is possible that there may be some relevant functions in the browser itself. But it needs to be looked in source codes of chromium.
