How to change the icon and name of the Chrome Hosted App?

Hosted App (URL App, glorified URL) is very convenient to launch from the "Chrome Application Launcher" and I really like the feature of opening them in a separate window. But manually created hosted apps use the URL of the site as the name and the icon loaded from the site itself (16x16). How to set a normal name and set your own icon? Simply editing the name and icons in manifest.json from the Extensions folder doesn't help. There is nothing in the Web Applications folder either. And I want the synchronization of the hosted app between devices to be preserved too (applications / extensions installed through the Chrome developer mode do not sync for me).

The answer is "no way", I guess. I had to make a separate manifest.json, pack it into an application and install it on all the necessary machines (because there is no synchronization in this case).
