Should you use Windows WorkFlow Foundation for your workflow needs?

There is a task to create a workflow to automate the activities of the office based on the .NET stack. Eyes fell on the WWF. A search on the Internet about how this technology is run-in and alive did not give a clear answer. I would like to know the opinion of the community on this tool, did anyone have a successful experience using this from the web and where can I see sane and relevant material?

It all depends on what kind of processes you want to automate, without knowing this it is impossible to choose correctly or not to use this or that technology.

Good afternoon.
If workflow schemes change and are rarely added by programmers, then yes. If you need a mechanism for users to draw arbitrary Workflows, then a couple of years ago we tried to implement this and eventually refused. It's easier to write your own mechanism.

WWF is always asynchronous, is it always necessary for workflow?
other than that, WWF actually provides only an engine
editor for business users, definitely not suitable ... used in several solutions, eventually abandoned (we use quartz ).
wwf service is capricious, requires writing a special. monitoring applications, the editor is difficult even for programmers.
try to implement without C# development parallel and serial coordination of the circuit; get such that after 2-3 months it will be easier to write again than to understand

We decided to implement a ready-made solution www.docsvision.com/products/upravlenie-dokumentami , because we figured out how long it would take to develop a full-fledged product and decided not to reinvent the wheel and, somehow, in the meantime, then tie the entire document flow in the company on this system
