Should you trust Windows 10?

I have Windows Server 2019 on my PC and the built-in firewall and Windows Defender are activated on it. During my use, I studied game development, went to different sites, downloaded assets and terrains. And I didn't catch a single virus.
My friend has Windows 10 Home x64. He has installed Avast + Kaspersky + standard Windows Defender with a firewall + internet explorer protection. When we cheated, we had to turn off all antiviruses.
The question is: does he need all this or not?! Personally, I think that 150 antiviruses are useless.

You definitely shouldn’t install several third-party antiviruses, they interfere with each other and load the system. My opinion is that antiviruses are not required for an advanced user, it is enough not to launch suspicious files and not to poke bright luring links.

I don't use antivirus on most of my computers.
Where I use it - usually it's a regular Microsoft one.
Now the virus is very difficult to find - these are rare animals.
The danger is provided mainly by malware and not by viruses.
And against them, antiviruses are generally ineffective.
Therefore, they do not make sense in most cases.

An external driver for setting the rights to everything and a "sandbox" is all that is needed in order not to get problems from outside.
FolderGuard, Sandboxie and Firmware: Antivirus: Windows Defender and firewall.

The built-in tools are enough for a normal user who understands the basics of security and will not infect himself, and no antivirus will save you from a lamer.

If there are children at the computer, then Antiviruses are useless.
Now there is a hunt for children - they release cheats with bots, there are file exchangers that "wrap" files in EXE with viruses, on the forums they post substitutes for Fortnite skins in which trojans are already sitting and in general the net is full of hacked games in the form of APK, exe files (with botnet viruses) for Android and Windows. Moreover, children brag about their achievements to each other and thus push each other to turn off the Anti-Virus, patch the Game and thus launch the infection.
All this is done by adult Uncles from the darknet in order to break through the protection, distribute malware, create Botnets and possibly break into the Parent Comp. So you need to install children's PCs in an isolated network segment)) and rearrange Windu once a week.
I wish all Parents to be vigilant and periodically discuss with their children the correct skills of working with the Internet. And How to protect yourself with VirtualBox for example))

Disagree with you.
Now I put 10ku 17134. It's wildly buggy! Endlessly resets all changed system settings to 0. Does not remember file associations.
Not long ago, the wallpaper itself was on the desktop. And the most buggy moment is that she ruined my 500GB HDD!
This hasn't happened on other windows.
To the heap, why is so much official software written for Windows, the old one, which is designed to remove tracking?
And these constant glitches with every update? I think that Windows should not be trusted very much!
