Should you help former clients?
Hello! A former client wrote the other day and asked me to fix a couple of things in the code I wrote for free. It’s not difficult for me, since the payment was generous and the client was adequate, but here are the points that need to be corrected or redone, everything is added and added ... More experienced hard workers tell me interaction with former clients is a good tone on my part, or they just use me and want to sit on your neck? Thank you.

As long as you correct your mistakes, then it's fine. But to redo the functionality, it is already using you. This needs to be stopped.
I have the following approach - six months after the project is completed, I eliminate my mistakes for free. These are the mistakes that I made during development. I think that almost everything that is possible will be revealed in 6 months. Further corrections for money. At the start, I discuss with the client what is a mistake and what is a refinement. I have no problems later.
If such a question appeared in your head, then you feel that you are ******, tie it up with altruism, you paid well last time, which means it’s normal this time. I read in the comments that it took 3 days? My neighbors walls are not painted, there is work for a couple of days, do it well and they will thank you, paint at your expense, buy a good current
It happens differently.
I always fix, in general, one-time small requests that do not require much time, and I warmed up myself and was distracted from the usual routine.
If the request is large, there are a lot of items, they are permanent, then they must be paid separately. If the requests are constant, then I usually sell a support package for two hundred dollars a month.
So it’s not clear to me, if he asked to fix it because it works through the ass, then this is an adequate request, or something petty wherever it goes, but if he has constant requests not related to your jambs, then demand a fee for maintaining the site
