Should Ubuntu be used as the main font on the site?

Good day.
Deciding which font to choose for the site. I like Ubuntu Font, but I have doubts whether to use it or not for large articles. Will it be readable? What analogues can you suggest for articles in Russian (I'm talking about the Russian language, because some fonts that look cool with English text look ugly with Russian text)?

How about Open Sans? It reads well, for headings/large size you can take the Light version.

For large text, non-system fonts (Ubuntu system fonts for Ubuntu users only) are not very good.

I think it's not worth it, especially for large articles. Personally, my eyes hurt when I meet Ubuntu Font (Google tells me that I'm not alone). It may well be a matter of habit.
Maybe you should choose something more standard? Unfortunately, I can't offer any.

A couple of years ago, when using Ubuntu on the landing page, jambs surfaced in menu links with Ubuntu Medium at 15 pixels - elements of certain letters on wine browsers were displayed glued, something like “e” without a gap or something else, I don’t remember anymore. After that, I abandoned Ubuntu.
