Should I write the company's earnings on the service website?

There is a service in which the main tool is a calculator that forms a product. This calculator shows a breakdown of the cost of the product, for example:
- material 1: 1000r.
- material 2: 500 rub.
- material 3: 1200 rub.

Should I write the real price for materials and add the item “We have earned”? Like this:
- material 1: 800r.
- material 2: 300 rub.
- material 3: 1000 rub.
- for our work: 600 rub.

Or all the same smear earnings on the cost of materials?
It always seemed to me that the smearing option somehow creates a feeling of deception, as if everyone wants to hide how much they earn. Why not open it? In general, there is no secret, especially since the layman will still not be aware of sales volumes. And so he will see that he is being treated fairly.

It is much easier to answer such a question, understanding what exactly you are doing and what your goals are. In short:
- lying about the cost of materials is not worth it unambiguously. It’s not worth lying at all, in the long run, lying creates more problems than it brings dividends
- it’s also not worth talking about “how much we earn on your order”. This figure in itself does not say anything, since it usually includes a lot of costs and expenses (taxes, insurance, loan payments, people's salaries, utilities, rent of premises, website hosting, etc.). You probably won’t turn all your bookkeeping on the site, but why then show people numbers that are meaningless to them?

I don’t know, of course, what kind of product you have, but it’s quite customary for the same Americans to write in full: so many materials, so much work. Especially if the work is not just “put it in a box and stick a label on it”. And the bill includes work as a separate item.

In my opinion this is stupid, if you sell for 1000 and buy for 800, what prevents me from buying for 800? What your employees want to eat is deeply your problem, not your customer's. So definitely not.

There is another category - directly work. Those. "Installing an air conditioner" is a job, it's paid. Only here in the price list of the company is not at all the price that the workers themselves receive.
Well, the last. Be simple. This "work" of yours reminds me of the fine print:

The competitor will definitely say “and we have only 10 rubles for the work.” (naturally, it will “smear” real earnings according to materials). But this is what will be more noticeable than higher prices for materials.

If your service deals with reproductions of paintings, then in general everything is simple.
A reproduction of such and such a picture costs N rubles. And that's it.
As a buyer of a painting, I am only interested in one thing - how much such a painting will cost me.
