Should I use Mailgun for delivery reliability?

The public opinion is of interest whether Mailgun should be preferred over regular sending via phpmail (dedicated server) for emails from Prestashop for the sole purpose of increasing the reliability and likelihood of delivery. There are not many letters at all, it will not be possible to use the free tariff (10,000 letters / month) even by 25%.
