Should I use jQuery in this case?

I'm writing an application like SPA - step-by-step ordering. I use Laravel, he recommends using Vue - I don't know it that way yet, but jQuery is great. I don't write jQuery like a pimply fifth grader - everything is global, but I write using a modular pattern. So, can I use JQ in this case and wouldn't that be considered a disgrace?

VueJs has excellent documentation, and in principle there is nothing complicated there. Of course, you can use anything, but when you have a great reason to learn something new and cool, damn it seems to me the choice is obvious.
