Should I use integrated mailing services?

The task is to write down the infrastructure that allows sending messages to users through all channels: automatic letters and notifications about events on the site, push notifications in the browser, SMS mailings, and just marketing mailings.
Now we use mailgun integration for event notifications and a separate service for marketing mailings. At the same time, we are now completely rewriting the system. We want to leave the mailgun and, in addition to everything, add push notifications and SMS.
The question arose - to make your own mail server and manually bind all these mailings, or take a service like Sendpulse, in which it seems that all this is already there and only integration is needed. In theory, it should be convenient - everything is in one place and statistics are centralized.
What do you think? What cons do you see? Yes, by the way, if anyone knows services similar to sendpulse - write pzhlst.

Proceed from the economic feasibility of developing your functionality. It all depends on whether such a newsletter is your profile, the main source of income, or is it an auxiliary toolkit. Focus on the cost per user when mailing, if this indicator is close to ARPU, then you will have to make your own functionality one way or another in order to earn by reducing costs. If the mailing costs are a small part, then it makes no sense for you to engage in non-core development, use ready-made services, unless, of course, your developers are idle.

If there is a question about saving, then SMS is cheaper at the SMS Center
