Should I use google mail for notifications and mailings from the site?

I am writing one project now, when registering I send registration confirmation and other notifications via postfix on the server. It is not enough time to maintain your web mail service for receiving and sending mail from associates. I decided to use corporate mail for a domain from google (because it's a convenient interface for an ordinary user, antispam, you don't need to store mail on your server). Actually now I think, can notifications and mailings also be sent via smtp gmail or leave everything as it is? Is there a limit on the number of messages sent per day?

Not worth it.
There is only one reason: mailing is always a controversial matter, and in the event of your blocking (which is very likely), the famous technical support robots will have to explain everything. Read how many people have been banned from various Google accounts and what difficulties you will have to face while you try to fix the situation. Moreover, having received a lock, you risk losing everything at the same time.

Google is not very good for this, it sends a large number of emails with delays.

Try mailgun . 10,000 letters a month there for free.

If the message has a direct link to unsubscribe, there should be no problems.
