Should I take orders from Unverified customers?

The most "delicious" and expensive orders on Upwork, according to my observations, are from clients with the Payment method not verified status. I don’t know what this is connected with - perhaps, with Verified, mainly those customers who have previously ordered something and now only want improvements. I know that in this case the exchange does not guarantee payment for the work. Has anyone had a negative experience with such clients? Was there a case that they threw? Does the Escrow mechanism work for them with Fixed price orders?
Thank you.

Take it, of course. After you have received and confirmed the job offer, ask the client to go through the payment method'a check to insure against possible problems with payment. This procedure takes a day.
