I wanted to register a domain with a good name, but in many zones it is already taken. Free for example in the .me zone. Is it worth registering in this zone? Will it somehow affect the positions? What are the pitfalls and are there any?

Yandex will be 100% better at ranking rushes, Google, in principle, too, but not as much as Yandex. If the project is for Russia, then .ru is better.
