Should I now take the iPhone 6s for design?

I'm thinking of taking the iPhone to design mobile apps to better understand the platform and be able to oversee design.
I'm not ready to pay a lot of money for the latest models now, and the choice fell on 6s, which can be bought in the region of 20k. The question is: does it make sense to take it now. Approximately how long will it last me until new versions of iOS stop supporting it? Or maybe after the next conference there is a high probability that the next model will drop in price and it is worth taking it already?
Who is familiar with Apple's policies in these matters? Tell.

they will support it for at least a year, the phone is smart, peppy, you can take it.
however, for the amount you indicated on Avito / Yule / etc., it is quite possible to buy a "seven" in good condition, which looks clearly preferable (imho)

with the advent of bangs in apple, the guidelines have changed a bit, so it makes no sense to take a phone without a bang...
