Should I install Solaris on a server to run a startup?

Does it make any sense to install Solaris, and not any of the Linux distributions ... Does
anyone have any thoughts on this?

Should I wear a gray suit or blue to a business meeting?
OS needs to be chosen proceeding from a specific task. Maybe Windows is a better fit for your startup?
What is a startup?

This makes sense if at least one condition is met:
1. your developers/system administrator know Solaris better than Linux;
2. your product depends on some feature of the Solaris OS or software unique to that OS (hard to imagine).

For the sake of interest, I raised one project both on Solaris and Ubuntu. There is practically no difference, neither in terms of work time, nor in terms of stability.
Solaris' burglary resistance will be higher, for a couple of seconds, while the evil hacker will say "Figasse, diesel fuel!" :)

If there is an appropriate admin and you are sure that he will not disappear anywhere.
Administrators under Solaris are a rarity.
