Should I increase RAM with VirtualBox or Nox?

On board i3 3227, DDR3 8GB, I use for a virtual machine - occasionally - an approximate size of 4 GB of RAM, I also use Nox and Bluestacks emulators (I stopped on Nox, I want to put 6GB of RAM on it), both of them use the VirtualBox work scheme - the same files disks, the same "virtual machine" settings files.
The question is, is it worth adding RAM physically with RAM strips or is it allocated in a virtual machine as a file?

The virtual machine uses only physical memory, i.e. it is almost impossible to use more memory than is physically available with the swap file (qemu seems to be able to). If you have 8GB of ram, then you can create a virtual machine with 6GB (requires 64-bit OS).
There is a moment when installing the guest OS drivers in a virtual machine, a situation will become possible when free RAM in it does not physically occupy the host system, i.e. some optimization, especially important when you run several virtual machines and it may turn out that in total the memory in them is more than physically available on the host.
ps if you need more, it's better to buy physical RAM, it costs less than hemorrhoids, which will create a paging file for you
