Should I design a page with a 404 error or direct it to the main page?
Greetings
Thinking about the real need to have a 404 styled page - do or redirect to home?
It is definitely not planned to introduce broken links on the site. On the one hand, etiquette seems to oblige, but on the other hand, from my own experience, if I stumble upon such pages, I almost always go to the main page of the site. So why not immediately redirect the user to the main page or still beautifully design such a page ...
What do you think about this?

A spider will come, get a redirect,
Index it - at such and such an address the site has a copy of the main ...
I come from a link from Google, where there should be cats. Aono me on main. I spit and close.
404 will tell me "oh, there really were cats, but they disappeared somewhere." Or "there was nothing spawning here" - and I double-check the url, and I see that I sowed one ukva somewhere.
In short, make out 404 as usual. Who needs to go to the main page = will go to the main page. Put even better a couple of links to the top articles of the site.
