Should I choose Ionic or Native?

Good afternoon.
The task is to write a specific organizer for android. (In the future, not bad for IOS)
The last time an android application was made back in 2012, so I would like to use something from the Web stack. Googling chose Ionic. But I read mixed reviews. And the brakes etc. Plus worked only with the first angular.
The application is simple. About 6 views. The data will be taken from the server and stored locally. Until the next update.
+ I want material design. But as I understand it. It is only from version 5 of android.
What repels ionic. It is written everywhere not to use the webview component, a plugin is installed and chromium will be installed instead, but the weight increases by 20 mb, which is stupid for such a simple application as mine.
In general, does Ionic (and others like it) justify itself, or is it better to do it natively?

If you need cross-platform, and you are limited in resources (money, time, specialists), then Ionic.
If you focus on quality, then you should choose native.
