Should I buy macbook pro 13 2020?
Hello. I am looking to buy a macbook pro 13 8gb 512gb 2020. It seems that they returned a reliable keyboard to it. I am engaged in Web and neuron (study). Tell me, is 8GB of RAM enough for these cases? While I do everything on a PC with 16GB of opera, this is naturally enough. But with 8GB there are doubts. Somehow, after cleaning the computer from dust, I didn’t install one die of RAM and sat for 3 weeks with 8GB of opera, I didn’t notice the difference. I noticed the missing plate by accident in the task manager. Why I choose a MacBook, it's stupid taste and autonomy.

If you work with neural networks, then you will need to work with a special IDE that is designed for this. On average, all IDEs recommend having 8GB of RAM (minimum 4GB). Thus, it turns out that when using the IDE - consider half> RAM will be occupied by the IDE itself. You will also need to work with browsers, it also takes up memory, especially Google. It turns out that your RAM will be almost full. Imagine that if you still need to open any applications, or put Linux on virtualbox. Then 8GB is absolutely not enough for you, no matter how bitter it may sound.
Personally, I work on 4GB, and because of this I have to do without an IDE, without browsers when writing code, and a lot of inconvenience. And they buy a MacBook for convenience, especially since a person cannot afford it every time. Therefore, I think that you should buy from 16GB, because the macbook was created for this, to please the user, and not bring him inconvenience
I think that Mac is unreasonably expensive. Why not put Linux on a PC and learn the commands and it's great for development!
Option 1: Buy / upgrade yourself a powerful computer, a serious processor and video card and 32GB of RAM, and 3 monitors for development. This is enough for your eyes for all tasks :)
Option 2: Buy yourself a Mac from a normal chain store like Citilink for example, and if you don't like it, return it in a couple of weeks. There should be no problems with the return, if you do not spoil the equipment :). And if you like it too much, then leave it to yourself :)
You see, Macbook Pro 13" 2020, the first 2 models (which are priced at 1300 1500 in the USA on the epl website, with 8GB ram) have not been updated much, they have an old processor, an old RAM. The model that goes higher (MWP42LL, 3rd in terms of configuration with 16Gb Ram) not only has more RAM, that's just all the updates in it.10th generation processor and pay attention to the speed of RAM, even for a PC now it is difficult to achieve this in overclocking, which is almost 2 times faster than in a cheaper model) If you take - then only MWP42LL. It is this new macbook 13!
Therefore, the question here is not only in memory, but in components. But I would recommend 16Gb all the time, especially since you take it for 5 years. And then you won’t be able to transfer it.. .
