Should I bother with a personal/private wiki?

I wanted to ask or find out your opinion, the idea came to my mind to make it like a Wiki, write manuals there, and so on. Maybe someone did it for themselves, is it worth it at all? And is it worth using mediawiki at all? The main rule of the wiki should be closed from outsiders, that is, wiki.site.org should be allowed inside only with a password. Tell me what can be used to replace mediawiki, the main thing is that with little effort you can start a private wiki.

100500 times - take Confluence. Free subscription is enough with the head, and the functionality is through the roof. + you won't lose it, + you can give access to other people
