Should content be blocked if the copyright infringement letter comes from another country?

Good day to all, let's assume that I have a video content aggregator, in other words, an online cinema, but the video itself is taken from other video “hostings” (for those who are interested in fryd ). So there are different “hostings”, legal (ivi, megogo, tvigle, etc.) and not legal.
And of course there are letters about copyright infringement. If a rights protection company from Russia understands this, then the content is immediately blocked. But what if the company is from abroad, in fact they have different laws and they don’t have any rights here. Or am I wrong?

As an example, the company “1+1 Internet” LLC writes to me (Who does not know, this is a Ukrainian TV channel), they say you are violating copyright by showing our series on your website, etc. What can they do in the worst case?

I would be grateful for detailed explanations. Because either the requests are crooked or I ..., but I did not find answers on a specific case in the search engines.

Well, look what the local Roskomnadzor does when it is ignored - it blocks a couple of sites throughout the country for one with the one you are looking for.
So, evaluate the losses and make decisions. Where will the loss of users be less from the series or from the country.

In the case of the extreme desire of copyright holders, even foreigners, nothing prevents them from suing you.
To the native Russian court. And this is at their choice, up to a criminal case.
Weigh the risks and check whether the copyright holder company is often sued in Russia.
And from the point of view of an ideal world, yes, they should remove the content immediately after the letter, if they did not know about its pirate nature, and should not post at all, if you know.
