Should a student learn Data Science?

Hello. I'm in 9th grade now. Around the middle of the 8th grade, he began to actively engage in programming. Wrote in Python and Pluses. Mathematics at the level of the Physics and Mathematics Lyceum is hard 4. Mathematics is not the most favorite subject, but I don’t mind solving interesting problems

Recently I began to be interested in the specialty DS. There I saw just a bunch of this high school mathematics. I began to delve into this topic even more (what needs to be taught; to make some plans for studying, etc.). I realized that it could take more than a year to study all this material (only mathematics). preparation for exams and various olympiads and there will not be many hours a day to study everything.

Is it worth studying now ?Or is it worth while to prove yourself in another specialty (for example, mobile development)? Maybe there are ways that I can shorten the study of mathematics or something like that?

In IT, you should learn anything that interests you, and the sooner the better!
9th grade is the perfect time to learn the basics of Digital Culture. Maybe you won’t become a Data Scientist, but it’s better to get used to other paths.

If the topic is interesting and, in general, the mathematics of the required level is understandable and not intimidating, then why not?

learn programming. See also neural networks. they are no less in demand than big data. big data has more statistics and they are not as interesting as AI
