Should a beginner web developer learn PHP?

Greetings, this is my first question on Habré, I'm just starting my way into the world of programming and I'm going to conquer the heights of Web development. Only here everything is clear with the peaks - the great trinity of HMTL / CSS / JS, something that cannot be dispensed with, but with the depths the question is more complicated. What about the backend? Should a beginner web developer learn PHP in 2020, or is this language no longer relevant to learn? I know that this language is very popular in creating websites and behind it a large percentage of web pages are built in PHP. You can’t argue here, in retrospect he has many achievements, he is well entrenched in history, but what about in the future? Where will he be in 5 years? I know that many praise PHP, but is it not due to the fact that they, the "oldies", started their journey precisely with its study and for them this language is now like a native one, they are so used to it, are they so comfortable? Isn't PHP a relic of the past that is so hard for everyone to let go? I agree that you need to know at least a basic level of PHP in order to understand other people's code, but should it be used as the main one for development? I probably would not have been so worried about this issue and I would have sat down quietly and obediently studied PHP, as is customary in the CIS (most Russian-language web development courses include PHP), but it turned out that I started my study with foreign courses on Udemy, and as often happens, all the trends come from there and often reach us late. So, as I understand it, in the West they try to bypass PHP and do not recommend it for learning, they call it an obsolete language, they prefer JavaScript for the backend, as it is universal for Frontend and Backend. And how to be in this variety of opinions? I would like to hear an objective opinion that does not depend on personal preferences.

A beginner web developer should learn how to search for information on the Internet.
This skill will come in handy in many life situations.
For example, before asking a question on any resource, you should first look to see if someone has already asked such a question before.
