Setting up remote access to SQL Server, is it possible to offset ports?
I am setting up port forwarding for SQL Server 2017 on the router. local port 1433 - everything works, when you try to move the external port - it does not work. although for the same RDP - everything works with a bang
question - for SQL Server, in principle, it is impossible to shift ports? Or are there any tricks?
connection string that seemed to work:
"Server=1.2.3.4:733;Database=db_name;User ID=user_name;[email protected];"
