Server load testing using Amazon EC2?
Good day.
There is a Comet server, I want to test it under real load.
I heard that you can organize such testing using Amazon EC2. Those. a lot of instances are created, a trivial script is written that makes the required load on the test server, this script is distributed to all created machines, then they look at logs, graphs, etc., etc.
Has anyone already done something like this? Or who knows, maybe there is a similar guide, for example, on Habrahabr?
What pitfalls can arise? How to create a lot of machines on Amazon EC2 and not burn out in terms of money?

I remember there was a script, jmeter, how I used it. True, I'm a cripple and wised up with Amazon, so it didn't work out very cheap for me :) so I recommend that you thoroughly study the very principle of EC2 operation before you start.
